Re: newbie question: anyone seen my sqlplus i cant find it

In my setup ( same as yours but RedHat 5.2 ) it is in oracle_home/bin

Did you install the client tools as well as the database...Svrmgrl is installed with the database, but SqlPlus is a client tool...
