The correct size will depend on the block size used by the OS or disk system which should be used a minimum. Then the actual value will depend on the type of application OLTP, DSS etc. and the size of typical table rows.

Needs a fair bit of research to establish the suitable figure - the norm these days is to avoid 2k totally and to prefer the large size options.
