The Vanderbilt Program in Human Genetics (VPHG) has a programmer position available in our computing core. The successful applicant will have approximately two years of experience developing applications with PowerBuilder. The computing core supports scientific efforts of the VPHG by developing applications designed to aid the other cores in gathering, warehousing, and analyzing data.

The VPHG has four core resources that are designed to help researchers successfully implement and complete gene mapping and identification projects. These include family ascertainment, DNA banking and genotyping, data analysis, and computing. The VPHG occupies over 5000sf of newly appointed research space, including both molecular and statistical laboratories. The VPHG is part of a major new initiative at Vanderbilt University to expand genetic research.
