Yes, on a separate disk. It's version 2 and it's written in Java so it runs a lot slower than version 1.6. Oracle is headed in the direction of having a separate management server with its own repository database. Version 2 really would like you to set it up that way. It needs its own Oracle home - separate from the regular Oracle home and it needs its own tnsnames.ora and listener.ora files. It also prefers you to have an intelligent agent up and running on each database server.
