Greetings All,

I have an anoying problem on an NT4 box running Oracle7.3.4.

I have created two databases using oradim. In the registry have the following setting for one of the databases: PFILE_ORACLE=c:\orant\pins_db\initPINS.ora

When I try to startup the PINS database svrmgr complains that it can't find the pfile c:\orant\database\initPINS.ora In the short term I have copied the pfile to this directory, but it looks like the svrmgr is ignoring the registry entry. Do all the pfiles have to reside in c: \orant\database?

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers
Tony Adolph
