Migrating from Oracle 7 to Oracle 8

Has anyone encountered problems migrating from Oracle 7 to Oracle 8? I have SQL Windows, Centura and Visual Basic applications accessing Orac le through either ODBC or Oracle Objects for OLE (OO4O). Do OO4O change from Oracle 7 to Oracle 8?
