8.0.5 client on 8.1.5 Server

Hi,

I have to install an 8.0.5 client on a 8.1.5 Server (Platform NT) , because I have to run a Software, which use only 8.0.5 client on the database Server itself.
So 8.0.5 client should connect to 8.1.5 Server on the same machine. I am not sure, if it works with different OracleHomes.Does somebody know?Is there a better solution?
Do I have to switch DefaultHome to 8.0.5 directory?
