Which release of Oracle should we use?

We have the choice of using Oracle 8i (8.1.5), Oracle 8.0.5EE, or Oracle 7.x... Our server platform is a Solaris 2.6, quad-processor UltraSparc with 1GB ram. This machine has been re-installed from scratch (literally)...

My question is this:
All this box is going to be doing is acting as a pure data server. If I'm not going to be using all the whiz-bang features of 8i (java stored procedures, etc), which version of Oracle should I go with? Received on Fri Jul 16 1999 - 11:23:43 CDT
