Hi there,

this may be a silly question, once I thought I knew it, but I am really confused. The max extent number in my tablespace is set to 249. some books say that the max extent is defined by the block size. How does max extent relate to block size? What is the implication of changing the max extent number without changing the block size( say change to 400)? also, how does max_extent=UNLIMITED work? Does unlimited max extent conflict with block size?

Thanks for your help.

Brian
