I found in documentation for Oracle on Netware that there is parameter called NW_FSTYPE in CONFIG.ORA file. I read that NW_FSTYPE is File System Type and can be CLIB (standard Novell nlm) and DFS (Direct File System).
Is there any difference between these settings ? Does Direct File System is faster than CLIB ? What exactly is DFS ? I changed this parameter on our Oracle server from CLIB to DFS and noticed that there is no way to turn back to CLIB ! Why ?
