I just installed Oracle 8.0.5.1 Enterprise Server for Intel Linux 6.0 with 128M and it seems to be working fine and fast. You might face problems during/after oracle Installation on Linux 6.0 . Overcome these by

0. Tune the SHMMAX at /usr/src/linux/include/asm/shmparam.h
1. Install Oracle Documentation Separately
2. Apply the glibcpatch after Oracle Installation
