I'm going to build a production server, so I would like to ask you all if I could have some problems with Oracle 8.0.5 on Red Hat 6.0 and the Patch on the following hardware: MB: Asus P2B-DS with 2 Pentium III 500MHz/512k 512 MB Ram and 2 IMB Ultrastar-9LZX; 9.1 GB U2WSCSI 10000rpm running with the onboard adaptec U2WSCSI controller.
Does Oracle run better with 2 CPU's? How should I configure the server to get the best perfomance? Is SGA 256 OK or can it be greater than that?
I would greatly appritiate your tips and opinions. Thanks in advance Received on Tue Jul 13 1999 - 06:33:52 CDT
