7.3.4 on NT4 SP4 kills Listener?

We're running a proprietary tracking application on 7.3.4 with NT4 SP4. Box is a Compaq 5500 w/ 4 Zeon P400 and 1GB of RAM. DB runs archive log mode, parallel query disabled, shared pool = 80MB, sort area = 1MB. Oracle73 service uses 300mb initially and bloats between 870MB - 980MB during the course of the day. - Ouch!

Problem - proprietary app client logins range from 130 - 190 which utilizes 2 sessions for each; does this pose an issue for NT not being able to handle these concurrent sessions and increase potential for NT to kills Listener? The Listener was stopped previously during production hrs, though not sure of cause. Received on Fri Jul 09 1999 - 06:03:25 CDT
