ORA-0729 error

Running Oracle 8.0.5 on HP-ux 11.00
When I try to startup my database (even in nomount mode) I get following errors.
The last system shutdown was with the immediate option btw.

ORA-07279: spcre: semget error, unable to get first semaphore set. HP-UX Error: 28: No space left on device Additional information: 100
Additional information: 2

I can't seem to make anything of this error. Ipcs -a does show 2 oracle entries, maybe the semaphores were not released.
Unix file systems seem to be OK as well as memory usage ?
