I just did this a few weeks ago on NT.

If I remember correctly I deleted the old instance and created a new one. Then I hacked the listener.ora and tnsnames.ora files to change the SID references.

| I have a database with SID=RB on NT. Is it possible to
| change the SID of the database(which is already present)
| to something else, say BG.

| If I have to the same thing above on HP-UNIX 9000, how do I
| do it ?
