Oracle DBA--Seattle

This position is responsible for managing ORACLE 8i, capacity planning, vendor negotiations, hardware evaluations, security, backup & recovery. The candidate will develop and maintain new databases and software systems in cooperation with the development team.

Requirements:
1. Experience in large Oracle installations running multiple distributed, very large databases (VLDB). 2. Experience with all aspects of database maintenance, backup and recovery.
3. Experience in specifying, comparing and recommending hardware capable of running VLDB Oracle applications. 4. Have worked in close cooperation with a development team utilizing advanced
object-oriented concepts and programming techniques in datawarehousing projects.

5. Experience with OLAP a big plus!
6. Experience with Windows NT and Solaris(preferred)
7. Hold Oracle DBA certification (optional).
