Wendy,

Windows 98 is not a server platform that can be used. As such, you will never get an option to install the server. Oracle only runs on Windows NT (Workstation or Server) When you pop in the CD in Windows NT it should ask you to install Oracle 8 or Oracle 8 Client or Custom. Choose Oracle 8 and it will install the RDBMS. Again, you have to run Windows NT.
