Oracle8i Lite To Ship

Oracle says it will begin shipping Oracle8i Lite for portable and embedded applications in mid-June. The Java software, ranging from 50 Kbytes to 750 Kbytes in size, will be capable of replicating data and Java applications from a company database, and will be priced at $295 per user. Later this year, Oracle also plans to debut a "mini-server" version of Oracle8i Lite for 2-to-10 users.
