Hi! I'm having problem running orainst. I'm trying to install Oracle 8.0.5
on an RS6000 running AIX 4.3.1. I'm getting this error:
Available SIDs: SE SE2
ORACLE_SID=[SE]?SE2
% cd /cdrom/orainst
% ./orainst /c
Orainst was unable to find the post/wait kernel extension.
Please run rootpre.sh as described in the Installation and
Configuration Guide and restart orainst.
Exiting orainst procedure.
% su root
root's Password:
# ./rootpre.sh

ps-I've set all the required environments (LD_LIBRARY_PATH, LIBPATH, LINK_CNTRL, ORACLE_BASE, ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID, ORACLE_TERM, ORA_NLS33, PATH, TMPDIR). Received on Sun Jun 27 1999 - 21:58:29 CDT
