Hi Readers,

We are facing a problem connecting oracle client to an oracle server behinda firewall. When we removed the Firewall and connect the client and server directly (through routers only). No problem at all.

We also noticed that during the setup connection with the firewall, the listener.log from the server records a log entry for each client's connection.
However, nothing seems to happen after that.

Is this a problem with IBM Firewall or does this has to do with the Oracle Server version itself?

More information:
Oracle server version 7.3.3 for Windows NT Oracle client using SQLPLUS Win95 and Unix versions. IBM Firewall version 3.2

Thanks for your replies!

Regards,
