Advanced Replication, need tip on setup fault ?

hello, i am configuring "Adv Rep" with 8.0.3 running on two NT boxes. The Replic option is installed on both NTs and support added to the
"dbs's".

TNS is working between boxes (remote connects - OK)

I attempt a Multi-Master setup from the "Master Site" with
"Rep Mgr Setup Wiz"... all data/user/schema/link info is accepted ...

Wizard begins adding permissions to Local then Remote REPADMIN, Sets up links,

Then -- ERROR :
during Master SITE additions (i.e. dbms_repcat.add_master_site() call) an Error is returned with a trace...

Err => from DBMS_REP_UTL Can not contact RTEST.SYS_at_svrtwo.world

            from DBMS_REP_MAS line 1457
            from DBMS_REPLIC line 137

RTEST is the correct Schema and User ..
"srvrtwo.world" is correct and works..

But where does the (.SYS) come in ?
why does it get appended to RTEST

Q) is there some setup option i am missing ??
