Michael:

Sounds to me like a shared memory issue, too. Use sysconfig and sysconfigtab to adjust the shared memory values on your system. A reboot is required, I believe.

I am running 7.2.3 instances on DEC Unix (excuse me, Compaq Tru64Unix) 4.0d Patch Level III. Please email if I can be of further assistance.
