I don't know how Linux startup files operate but under Unixware, the
/etc/rc2.d directory is scanned and every file starting with 'S' (yes,
that is a capital S) are run - theoretically in lexical order. In that
directory is typically a file names S99oracle or perhape S98oracle. That
script will start the listener and the databases.
