We are using Oracle 8.0.5 over Linux since last December. No crash in
six month. Our old server ran on an NT machine which was twice slower
from the hardware point of view. The Linux server performs ... 25 times
faster! We have never regret this migration. It works faster, it is much
more stable. Definitely a good move.
