Merging Partitions on Oracle 8i

Hi all



I currently trying to merge partitions on Oracle 8i , but can't find much
information in the standard documentation. Can anyone help.



Also how much of an overhead is merging two partitions, especially with a
number of indexes. Do these have to be rebuilt ?
