This company had presence in diverse
business areas. They were the biggest automotive
group in Kuwait and also had several
engineering projects. There were 10 database
servers on NT, Solaris and Novell on
different sites of the company. Some applications
also had 24 X 7 support.
My responsibilities were:

Vehicle Rental and Leasing System
Technical Lead
AMRL (Al Mulla Rental & Leasing of Vehicles and
Equipment) has a fleet of about
2000 vehicles and 50 chauffeurs. The system had
about 7 remote locations that were
linked to the main server through dialup
networking. This was a comprehensive vehicle
rental system. The major modules were Rental,
Lease, Chauffeur Services, Mobiles &
Pager rental, Retro transactions, Drivers and
their timesheets, Vehicle maintenance,
NRTs, Reservations, Accounts Receivable,
Quotations, Tenders, Sales and Traffic Fines.
It had Online Authorizations, Immediate
Highlighting of exceptions through alerts and
Audit Trail.

As Technical Lead, was responsible for Initial
System Requirements Study, Database
design, Program Specifications, QA, data
conversion, interaction with users, system
implementation, and security policies. Also,
participated in programming efforts and
development of the template. This project
involved about 35-man month of efforts.

Technical Lead
Oriental Insurance Company, India does Insurance
in Kuwait with Bader Al Mulla & Br
WLL as its agency. OIC has following major
policies: Motor (Third Party,

Drivers Policy), Marine Cargo, Marine
Hull, Fire, General accident (Erection all Risks,
Machinery All Risks, Contractors All
Risks).
This is an online system and linked to 2 remote
sites at the Car Showrooms of Bader Al
Mulla. This is a bilingual application
(English/Arabic).

This was done using Dialogic Cards for HDFC,
Bombay. The system provides the
following options: Information to the customers
through telephone on various Loan and
Deposit schemes of HDFC (with the rates being
retrieved online from the database) ,
VoiceMail for employees , and Debtors Outstanding
to the follow-up staff for their
territories.

This was a conversion project for the accounting
package from Oracle 6 to Oracle 7 at
Akshay Business Services. This package is being
distributed by Blue Chip Software,
UAE. This was a general accounting package for a
Trading and Contracting Company.

This project involved automating of the Order
Processing System of Grindwell Norton
Ltd., Bombay to keep track of the orders
carefully and enable optimal scheduling, avoid
errors in shipping , invoicing etc. , ready
availability of customer information and better
MIS reports . The system had comprehensive set of
wheel formulations and
corresponding inventory module. I had developed
the Order Processing and Production
Planning Modules.

This was enhancement of an already existing

Front Office and Registration Management System
Programmer
This package was developed for the training
division of NIIT to take of its Front Office
Operations, Student Invoicing, Training Center's
accounting, MIS reports to evaluate the
training center as a profit center and Student
and batch management. A salient feature of
this project was Multiple Sites implementation,
which was almost parallel (About 12
Sites). My role was mainly implementation and
programming.
