I have a SQL SERVER 7 database and also I have a laptop that has ORACLE 8
Enterprise running on it. I have to be able to use some sort of connection
so that I will be able to go into Enterprise Manager for SQL SERVER on my
desktop and be able to make a connection to my laptop running ORACLE 8 on my
small lan. Does anyone have a clue?
I tried running OLEDB for ORACLE at my SQL Server 7 Enterprise Manager import and export data and it asks me for the "server" "username" "password" What am I supposed to put in the server name? Should I put the IP address in there or the computer name or what? Does anyone know what I have to have setup in ORACLE 8 as well? I always get the error client not found when I try to do it this way. So hopefully you guys can help me.
Thanks alot,
