OAS 4.0 : good or bad ?

I'd like to discuss with people who works (or have tested it) with OAS 4.0 to share some ideas about this product, in particular about the JCorba cartridge:

• about its performance (responses to high load, reactions about the instantiation of hundreds of objects simultanously)
• about its scalability and its load balancing
• about the response time of JCorba objects
• about the stability of this version (4.0.7)
• about the conditions of the development (tools used,...)

And more generally, about the possibility to use this appserver for a 3-tier architecture like this one:

Any comments about this product would be appreciated.
