Oracle 8.0.5i / RedHat 6.0

I'm successfully running Oracle 8.0.5i on a RedHat5.2. I'm trying now to install it on a RedHat6.0. The install is fine, but when I start it I'm getting a core dump. I know that a major difference between RedHat5.2 and 6.0 is the glibc library upgrade.
Is that the problem ?
Does anyone have successfully installed Oracle 8.0.5i on a RedHat6.0 ? Is there some patch available ?

All hints are welcome :-)

Thanks for your time,
