http://technet.oracle.com/doc/server.815/a68020/toc.htm has the document "getting to know Oracle8i". It lists the new features of 8.1 as well as 8.0.

in a nutshell 8.0.4 and 8.0.5 have the same feature set. 8.1 has about 150 some odd new features over 8.0.

You need an account on technet to read the documentation. Its free. goto their home page and request one.
