I may be wrong...but my understanding from 8i was that migration to 8i was supported from 7.3.4 upwards..

Of course, you could export/import but 1.2Tb could take a while :-)

I have done several 7.3.3 to 7.3.4 upgrades with no dramas, but I cannot comment on the next step..
