I am currently taking classes and tests for the Oracle OCP DBA certification. I am about 3/4 of the way through.

I am wondering, I have had some very experienced DBA's scoff at the idea, saying 'it is worthless' (they are not certified themselfs though). I have also had some positive feedback from recruters and from business managers. Plus, In my experience so far (2 years worth) it has really helped out a lot. Especcially because the testing makes me remember details.

Anyone else pro-certification or anti-certification? And **WHY**?
