I've tried to install it and got the same problem. After two days of retrying I recompiled the kernel with the DEFAULT parameters (not the ones recommended by ORACLE) and got it running.

    The other side of the coin is that, now, if I stop Oracle I must reboot the maxine to get it running again (cannot create shared memory)

    Hope this helps! even I don't know if that's the real solution to the problem. Look at the installation log to check the real error.
