Dear Readers,


I've read on this news group about


QUERY_REWRITE_ENABLED session parameter
that enables the use of indexes in a


WHERE clause with UPPER on left and right
sides of the condition.



I've looked in the documentation, but


couldn't find any information. Alter


session command also does not recognise this
parameter. Could someone throw some light on this.
