fatal osn connect error

Hi everyone

i have created an oracle user identified externally when i connect to with as : /@connect string i get the message invalid username/password
when i look at the sqlnet.log i see the following message Fatal OSN connect error 12163
that means that the connect string is to long : but that is not the case.

The strange thing in this that if i change the created user to identified by password
i can connect with that user/password_at_connect string. by the way connect with a / on the server works fine.

who has the solution for all this.
