Hi Folks:

I do not have access Oracle, but I'm trying to answer a question for a customer of ours who is trying to connect to Oracle 8 (?) on OpenVMS 7.1. He does not know what the string is to add to our Resource Manager file. He says:

As an example this is one string we put in the RM file for Oracle 8 on NT platform:

Oracle_XA;xaosw;%ORACLE_HOME%\PRO80\LIB\MSVC\SQLLIB80.lib %ORACLE_HOME%\RDBMS80\XA\XA80.lib %ORACLE_HOME%\OCI80\LIB\MSVC\OCI.lib

That is completely different of the UNIX's ...

On the other hand, we know that it is possible to connect a server without XA, so I sent a program we tested in UNIX that got connected to ORACLE without XA, but for some reason it didn't work in VMS.

All helpful hints are appreciated.
