Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Oracle Application Server - Creating a DAD
Im trying to create a DAD from Oracle application Server so that it will
be able to contact the DB.
in the form for creating the DAD there is a possibility to fill the
:Database Name (ORACLE_SID)
or the : Connect String
1)When should I use each of them or both?
2)I try to figure it out for myself and the recommended value to place
there is the ORACLE_SID name , which in my case is orcl (as shown in the
tnsnames.ora).
when using that on the Connect String I got this error back:
"ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name"
What is the problem and how can I solve it.
thank you
