When I install the Oracle 8.0.5 Version on a SuSE Linux 6.0 System, the
ld fails with the message
'-ltcl' not found. When I set a link from /usr/lib/libtcl.7.6.so to
/usr/lib/libtcl.so the ld complains about
undefined references like that:
In function `lcdprm':
lcd.o(.text+0xacb): the `gets' function is dangerous and should not
be used.
/home/oracle/oracle8/lib//libnetwork.a(nldtot.o): In function `nldtotCF3':
nldtot.o(.text+0x41): undefined reference to `epc_cf_value' nldtot.o(.text+0x9e): undefined reference to `epc_add_reg_id' nldtot.o(.text+0xc1): undefined reference to `epc_event' nldtot.o(.text+0xcb): undefined reference to `epc_flush'...
Anybody any ideas, what went wrong? The rest of Oracle works fine.
Regards,
Andy
