Oracle8 roles

What is the purpose of HS_ADMINISTRATION_ROLE ? What does the 'HS' mean? Is there any practical usage of all default roles ( I mean the AQ_.. roles, the .._CATALOG_.. roles and the SNMPAGENT role ? I didn't find sufficient information in the Oracle literature.
