I've had a quick look at this Eric. I hope the authors will consider writing a longer version (perhaps as a technical report). It would be nice, in particular, to understand some of their design decisions and benchmark procedures in more detail.

Perhaps the next challenge after persistent Java could be XML benchmarks ...
