Hi Andrew,

As you can imagine, this isn't good news. It completely undermines the convenience of Client/Server.

I also understand that more than TCP/IP is involved. I think though that if you look into your routers, you will see that that's where the delay occurs. Whatever TNS does, it isn't router friendly. We note a seven second delay per router for these queries. We don't have the problem with the PC's from what I'm told although I haven't used them. I do know that five PC's from a large user from our group use the forms from a server with no speed problem. It's just a Mac thing for us.
