Oracle with Mac client delay problem

Hi,

We are implimenting a large WAN based Oracle record keeping project. The project involves an Oracle 8 database housed on an HP 9000 server. The clients are mixed PC and Mac G3 based systems.

For easy maintanence, we'd like to store our Oracle forms on a local NT/Novell/Apple server.

We have the clients all set up using TCP/IP each set up using the Oracle

Easy Config program.

Here's the problem. For the Mac clients, we are experiencing a seven second delay at each router for Oracle on Apple requests with the exception of the first BLANK home form. Any form requesting data from the server seems to suffer the seven second delay.

We don't have this problem with the PC's. And the Mac's are here to stay.

All routers are Cisco series ranging from 2500's to 7200's. Yes, Cisco has been contacted. I'm trying all avenues.

Any help on this?

DON'T reply to the @home address as it isn't working correctly at this time.

Email reply to: jet_at_nospamavalon.net (remove the nospam to contact me) or post here.

Thanks in advance.
