Enclosed is a questionnaire on tuning techniques. It forms part of my dissertation so any replies would be most grateful. A full copy of the results will be sent to all respondents requesting them.

Thanks

Oracle Optimisation Pilot Questionnaire

This questionnaire forms part of the final project of a BSc. Business Information Technology degree at Southampton Institute of Higher Education.

The purpose of this questionnaire is to investigate the ways that organisations get the most from their Oracle database, the costs involved and the savings available. It also intends to investigate the different tuning methods used in industry and give a guide as to their perceived effectiveness.

Please complete the questionnaire, starting on the next page, save as a text file and send as an attachment to Terry.Underwood_at_cwcom.net All respondents will be sent via e-mail, a copy of the results of the survey and a database of tuning techniques if requested.

Any comments or criticisms regarding the questions or layout of the form would be most welcome, please add these to the body of the return e-mail message.

Thank you for your time.
