Dear,



You have to use resetlogs



why ?



A backup control file would;nt have information about the current logfiles and
datafile system change numbers would also not be current., thus  oracle will
not be using the online log files for recovery.
to correct this problem you need open the database with resetlogs.



If it does not provide you a clear undestanding write back on
"mshankr_at_aol.com"
