Block size really depends on your OS I/O block size. Usually, the bigger the block size, the better the performance. Some Oracle whitepaper quoted about 6%-8% improvement when you double the size. However, I will stick with the OS limitation. In UX 11, we used 16k and usually NT, we used 4k to 8k.
