Oracle Link for MS Excel is a tool you can use to extract data from your Oracle database as well as perform INSERTs and UPDATEs.

Execute single SQL or a batch of SQL statements directly from spreadsheet cells with Auto Connect and Auto Execute on startup.

It also supports SQL Plus like "&" substitution variables and execution of SQL from comments of cells (to mimic the functionality of XL functions for SQL). You can also easily create powerful adhoc reports with groups/subtotals and powerful filter commands.
