Hi Moogle,

    It sounds like one or their PR types got carried away. Codd (who was working for IBM at the time) wrote the first paper describing the RDBMS concept.

    Oracle was the first organization to implement and deliver a relational data base management system. IBM came out with their implementation later.

    Except for PR types Codd is considered the inventor.
