oracle jdbc "no more data to read from socket"

Sir:
Everthing is ok when I ran applet using appletviewer. (list rows from a table).However the same code run using netscape browser I got 'no more data to read from socket' ?

I use jdk 1.1.4 netscape 4.51 and jdbc 8.0406.

What is the difference between appleviewer and netscape browser.
