Hi,
I come from the sybase world and linux has given me a wonderful oppurtunity
to explore oracle at home. I like what I see - so far. I have been able to
"bcp" out data from sybase & load into oracle and even load csv files
from spreadsheets using sqlldr and play with the data. I have a question
reg. sqlldr (I assume it is analogous to bcp). Is there a way to dump data
out from oracle in text/spreadsheet format using sqlldr or any other utility?
My apologies if this is a very basic question (I am struggling with mountains of oracle documentation) or the wrong newsgroup to ask.
Thanks for your help,
Ram
P.S: I am using wosql in X mode and sqlplus on char terminals. I wish something like xemacs-sql-mode was ported to oracle as well. I am reluctant to plunk 70 bux for applix as I am not sure if it works without ODBC drivers. Anybody tried it sucessfully with "gateway" mode? Received on Sat Apr 03 1999 - 18:50:52 CST
