Oracle 8 on Linux SMP?

Hi,

I'm considering Oracle 8 on Linux (2.2 kernel), on a quad Pentium II box.

Has anyone had any experience with Oracle in this kind of setup, and does it take advantage of the extra processors?

Or, do I have to use Sybase to get decent SMP support on Linux?
